I have had an amazing career that blends education and technology. I started in corporate training where I enjoyed traveling the country and developing new courses and course materials. As the internet bloomed, I had the opportunity to serve as Testing, Technical Support, and Training Manager for a start-up company.

My next adventure focused around developing and delivering training for a publisher. As they grew, so did I. eLearning was not yet a buzz word, but online learning became a need. I was able to fill this void by creating lessons on the corporate intranet.

After moving to the Carolinas, I found  two of my passions, higher education and instructional design. I had the pleasure of working for one of the largest community colleges in North Carolina as an Instructional Developer for eLearning. During this time I worked on a Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology and enjoyed applying those skills every day in order to enhance learning for their students and faculty.

In 2017 I moved from higher education to a non-profit where I was able to help start up a new training department. I served as lead LMS Administrator and Lead Instructional Designer/Developer as we implemented a new learning management system and transformed old downloadable Flash courses for delivery in a modern streaming environment. I created the "branding" for our new courses and developed templates and guidelines for contractors and vendors.

Now, this new department is going strong and growing. In 2020 I was promoted to a Technical Leader role and in 2022 I earned another promotion to Senior Technical Leader. I am still focused on Instructional Design and Development of online courses, but also took on more project management. I love going to work every day and am lucky to have a career that is also my passion.
